We are now a one party country of big government that has two wings: one (Democrat) likes to talk about civil liberties, but doesn't come through, and one (Republican) likes to talk about economic liberties, but doesn't come through. Only the Libertarian Party upholds these liberties as its principles.

Although this is a Michigan based website, our fortunes are currently largely overridden bywhat is happening in Washington. We are being over regulated and over spent. Our currencyis being debased and our freedom and constitution is being pushed aside with every new czar and law this administration has instituted. Candidate Ron Paul is the only candidate that wants to reverse this course of action and has remained consistent over many years.

Right To Work
Indiana has passed its right to work law this year. You will soon hear a giant sucking sound coming from western MIchigan as companies there flee across the border to a more competitive and fair workplace.
Freedom of association is one of the foundations of a free society.? The Founders clearly understood this, which is why they sought to protect this God-given right in the First Amendment.
I support the right of every American to join a private sector union if they wish, but forcing workers to pay union dues just to get or keep a job is wrong.
As a result, national union bosses rake in $8 billion every year from workers who are forced to pay dues to a labor union just to provide for themselves and their families.
Big Labor then uses this forced-dues money to bankroll the campaigns of tax-and-spend, big government politicians all across the country who, in turn, fight against right to work laws.
Rick Snyder and Randy Richardville are taking the low-key approach and staying out of the right to work debate.
Broke and Still Spending
Michigan is broke and spending has not been addressed. Recently we have committed to spending billions on building an international bridge to Canada when a private entity is wanting to build one for free because....... silence. No reason is offered.
Detroit is broke, has no chance of paying it's bills and people who can afford it are fleeing. Detroit has committed to building a money sucking light rail system which is not based on any system that has been shown to be successful because............... silence. No reason is offered.
The United States spent 9% of the 2010 budget on repaying the deficit. That is with the interest rate at basically zero. !00% of the decisions made by the Obama administration have been detrimental to the long range viability of our country. Statists believe that by bringing down the system, it can be remade, remolded in their image. The automotive industry was remolded with the unions being a co-owner. The financial system was remolded using a new regulatory system which also favors the companies which are too big to fail.
